**Please note that all City Park roads will be closed to traffic on February 22nd. Limited parking is available at 22nd and Colorado and will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Additional parking is available at East High School which is located directly across the street from City Park: 1600 City Park Esplanade. Carpooling and utilizing public transportation is strongly encouraged!***
10 a.m. - Registration Opens
Noon - 5K Starts
1 p.m. - Polar Plunge Starts
1 p.m. - Beer Garden Opens
The Polar Plunge is not just for reservoirs anymore...You can now participate in Colorado's coolest winter event by jumping into a pool of icy water or running a 5K in the heart of Denver. Join us at City Park for the new Polar Plunge Splash & Dash to support over 14,200 Special Olympics athletes!
* 5K RUN/WALK – Register by Feb. 21st for the $35 rate ($40 on Race Day) All participants will receive a Polar Plunge beanie! You’re also eligible for Polar Plunge fundraising incentives!
*POLAR PLUNGE – Party like it's 32 degrees! Jump into a pool of frigid water by fundraising a minimum of $75 ($50 for students and SOCO athletes).
*SPLASH & DASH – Double your fun by running the 5K AND taking the Plunge!
*PARTY – Come out to the festival to enjoy food, beer, music and fun! All 5K and Polar Plunge participants will get a free beer (21 and over).

*THE MORE THE MERRIER - Start a team and do all of the above for a whole day of fun! Ask family and friends to join or pledge money towards your run or plunge.
Everyone in the community can get involved – schools, fraternities, sororities, intramural sports teams, run clubs, corporations, law enforcement agencies, groups of friends and families…the possibilities are endless! Get together and party like it’s 32 degrees!
*FREEZIN’ FOR A REASON - There are great incentives for reaching certain fundraising levels, and all proceeds benefit our amazing and courageous Special Olympics athletes. For example, by raising $250, you are funding training and competition for one athlete in his or her sport for the entire season…and you earn a Polar Plunge beach towel and long sleeve T-shirt! **Polar Plunge Fundraising Awards**
Prizes will be awarded to the Highest Fundraising Individual, Highest Fundraising Team,
Highest Fundraising LETR Team, University Cup (highest fundraising team from a college or university) and Most Team Spirit (based on best costume & spirit)!
**Note: Fundraising awards will be based on funds raised as of Feb. 21st at 5:00 p.m.**!
Awards and a 30-minute massage from Ultimate Serenity Massage & Personal Training will be given to the first male and female to finish (based on gun time).
Race awards will also be given to the fastest male and female runners in the following age groups (based on chip time), so stick around after the race! (12 & Under, 13-20, 21-30, 31-40, 41-50, 51-60, 61-70, 71 & Older)
